Just like last year, you will be receiving your dues renewal invoice along with your February/March newsletter. It will arrive in a 1st class envelope stating that it contains your renewal. I urge you to pay it when you receive it to help speed the renewal process along. Please check to make sure all of your personal information is accurate. A current address, phone and email if you have provided it to us. We still get a lot of members who have moved and their mail is getting to them as a result of being forwarded. We would like to go as paperless as possible on the club newsletter in 2009 to save much needed funds for future projects. Please check the box on your renewal to indicate that you would like to receive your newsletter through email vs US mail and include a clearly printed e mail address.

According to Ed Hoffman, the lock on the front door of the clubhouse will be replaced by Scott Bessert with a Schlage digital key pad lock. The combination for the new lock will be exactly the same as the combination for the lock on the front gate. The door must be opened within 5 seconds of entering the combination or the lock will deactivate and you will need to enter the combination again. When leaving, simply close the door behind you.

Attached below are the match results. A light turn out this month but as usal, a good time was had by all shooters. The 1st place pin goes to Greg Patyk with a 3550/5000. 2nd place goes to Alex Stroud, Ray Davidson’s grandson and a Jr. Shooter. Alex shot for 2nd with a 3050/5000 in his first rifle match ever! Congratulations!! 3rd place to another newcomer, Raffi Der Manuellian with a 2900/5000 with a borrowed rifle.

The ARA crew will hold one more match than originally scheduled on 19 OCT 08. This will include a fun match and a feast in the club house afterwards with awards/door prizes for all shooters. Match registration is at 1030. We’ll shoot until we are tired and/or hungary and then eat! POC G.Patyk 517-375-0517
