How to become a Howell Gun Club Member

The purpose of the Howell Gun Club is to promote and educate the public on the value and enjoyment of shooting sports. We are looking for individuals who share the same passion and zeal we have for shooting. Prospective members are responsible, have integrity, and will treat the club and its members with respect and courtesy. Membership in Howell Gun Club is a family membership and includes the spouse and all children residing in the household under the age of eighteen (18) or until graduation from or termination of high school. Membership lasts one year, from March 1st through February 28th, after which members must renew by paying the following year's dues amount. Membership will terminate if dues are not paid.

Any person eighteen (18) years of age or older may submit a membership application; the application needs to be completed fully and Endorsed by two Howell Gun Club Members in good standing with the club. To obtain a membership application, you can contact a current member, or you can stop by the club when it's open to the public; applications are located in the clubhouse, or you can print one from the website. If you do not know any members who can endorse your application, your best option is to come out to the club during the times when it is open to the public, for trap shooting or when the indoor range is open, enjoy trying some of the different shooting disciplines that HGC has to offer, and meet and get to know some of our members. If you are a current CPL holder, you do not need two sponsors to join the Club.

To join the club or if you have questions about membership, please contact the Membership Committee at Contact Us.

  2. During your probationary period, you are required to attend one club meeting. The club holds a meeting every month; they are posted on the club calendar. Please notify the membership committee if you have a work schedule that conflicts with the meetings.
  3. After completion of one year of satisfactory probationary membership (at the discretion of the Board of Directors), the member, upon payment of annual dues, becomes a member and is then afforded full voting privileges.
